Dear Child,
Life is sweet. But it’s sweetened by the twists it throws our way. Make no error of planning for happy endings, few exist. Delight, however, in the moment and exchange it for no less.
Existence is a series of choices in the pigeonhole of life. I may have chosen eye-catching fantasies at my time but they turned out to be eyesore down the line.
If you ask me for a choice to pick, I would gladly humor your take, praying your heart delights in the moment—that’s all that matters, after all!
Yours lovingly,
Grandpa Willie.

Dear Charles,
What a perfect title and story. Would that my grandfather had told me something like this. Your story had a fresh, realistic voice and a great message to boot. Good job.
Welcome to the party, pal.
